This is gonna be my spear's target. They are pierced my mind and heart. I realize my wife is more beautiful than them, but the temptation is always burning my mind. From other perspective, I look at my Obee, yup! Sure 100% cuter and handsome than them but cannot faking my self just let them across in my mind regularly without even touching them...one by one. Oh! God, that Fender is always my dream guitar since I touched a wasted guitar in 1989. I dunno why I should love that Tokai Les Paul model, just becoz of my "research" reading through how good the guitar is.

I am not that too shredder type, simply I like any songs and I proud of it. The funny thing is in my early guitar self lesson I surrounded by those guitarists with different music style; Rock, Dangdut, Pop Rock, Country, Keroncong, Lentok, RnB, Fingering style, Gospel, KadazanDusun Songs, Slow Rock, Reggae, Alternative and more. Come to 2007 I force myself dive on Jazz and Latin sea. So that's why I picked that Cort Jazz Box Source (ignore me I'm showing off wakakaka...). I have a lot of great guitarist friends and simply complete me even until now I still can't be good one as they are. One of them is Tony Leo Selvaraj. Yup! To make the long story short and after almost 12 years later, he bought a Musicman Silhouette white finish alder body, maple fretboard, 24 frets, piezo pickup, locking tuner and I my heart stop within 1++ :p second. Arrgghh!!!... Yalah ok ok la!... Just expensive for me but Tony managed it and fulfill his dream too. :) AND that's why I picked that Sterling SILO20 just without tremolo :( but the 24 frets really seduced me and that axe cheap² hehehe.... What a day dreaming rite? Hmmm... lean them on my guitar rack stand with wink² and keep them dustless....eeeeeeeeeee.... stop Wel! Hmmmmpphh!!! Work harder! Work harder! :)

Why some people almost always are successful?

They make decisions and take action

Right or wrong action, they take it. Either way it’s always better than making no decisions and taking no action at all. As Franklin Roosevelt said:

“It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.”

They do things even when they don´t feel like it
This is a pretty huge factor. A lot of us back down when we don´t want to do something, even though it may eventually bring us to a wonderful experience or goal. Successful people may not always like doing some of the things they have to do. But they do them anyway. And in the longer run that makes all the difference.

They do the most productive thing right now
Instead of trapping themselves in doing productive but not so important tasks or projects they realize what’s most important and do that. And after they´re done with that they do what´s most important again. Instead of just doing a lot of things, they think and plan before they act and try to focus as much as possible of their thoughts and actions on those few very important things.

They do one thing at a time
Many of them donÂ´t seem to multi-task. Some reasons for avoiding that may be that it creates internal confusion, wastes time and spreads the multi-tasker too thinly. Instead, they do one thing and focus on that until it is done. Then they do the next thing until it is done. Focusing 100% on one task at a time will get it done quicker and better.

They have a positive attitude
A negative attitude can be very damaging and limiting to one´s life. A positive one can open new doors every day. It can open your mind to new ideas and input and create or sustain great relationships. It helps you through the hard times as a successful person often sees an opportunity within what others would merely see as a problem.

They have redefined failure
While a lot of people see failure as a way to rationalizing the feeling of wanting to giving up or as a sign that it´s actually time to do something else successful people tend to see it more as useful feedback. They may not like to fail, but they don´t fear it – or at least they have little fear of it – and they know that if they fail they've been there before and they can start over again and succeed. This is of course a very useful belief and keeps successful people going while the rest have already given up.

They don´t let fear hold them back
They overcome fear and slay that dragon whenever they face it. Or they may have defined or redefined reality so that fear is substantially decreased or even gone in some areas of their life.

Doing this enables you to take action on your thoughts. This pulls down the barriers in the mind and create new roads and opens up to whole new possibilities. They have found a purpose in life
They are internally driven rather than externally driven. They do what they have a burning desire to do rather than conforming to what others think they should do. Even if what the others think may be positive and successful stuff.

The Michael Jordans, the Edisons and the Stephen Kings have figured out what they want to do in life and are doing it (or did it).

The purpose, [think], is largely why they can keep on going and be motivated while others may tire or just go and do something else that they find more purposeful. The successes love their purpose and when they aligned with it then it seems to push them forward with enthusiasm and energy through life.

They don´t get distracted
When others get too caught up in everyday life to do what they really want to do the successes don´t. They can really focus on actually doing what´s important and what needs to be done. Again, this seems to go back to having a purpose and more clear sense of direction in life.

They value their time highly and plan it out well
A lot of people don´t value their time that much. Successful people have a purpose in life and therefore they do. They have so much they want and an inner urge to do it and therefore need to plan well to use their days effectively.

They've got awesome communication-skills
So very much of what we do in life has to do with other people. So it seems quite obvious that to be successful you´ll probably have to have good or great communication-skills (or hire someone that has such skills).

They have an open mind and are willing to learn
Successful people take the time to study and learn – and often seem to really like doing it – what is necessary to improve their skills. What to focus on?
Now, what factors are the most important ones, where should one focus the energy? Focusing on improving the ability to take action, doing what may not feel like doing and doing the most productive thing right now. It seems like these three factors are very important and since they are pretty interconnected they are easy to combine.

What you should focus on varies a lot. And it’s up to everyone to figure that out for themselves. But if you´re anything like this you probably already know what areas you need to work on.

You will make better first impressions. Everyone stereotypes, whether they want or not. A positive first impression can mean a lot in many situations and have a lasting effect throughout your relationship with that person.

You will focus on the good things in people. Not their faults. This will make things much better overall and improve all kinds of relationships.

It´s easier to become more productive when you stop laying obstacles in the middle of the road in the form of negative thoughts.

Work becomes more fun. Everything becomes more fun.

You become more attractive. People like positive people. Positive people make other people feel good about themselves and they don´t drag the mood down. Also, a positive attitude is an indicator – and source – of high self-confidence, a quality that just about everyone is attracted to.

Being negative has very little concrete advantages and is not a very empowering way to look at life.
It opens up your mind to focus on other ways of looking at things. Sometimes wonderful new ways you might not ever have thought about or experienced before.

It puts the Law of Attraction to better use. The Law of Attraction basically says: whatever you think about you attract into your life. As you replace the negative thoughts with positive thoughts you will start to attract more positive opportunities and people into your life.

You´ll waste less time. Negativity can be like a self-feeding loop. First you think one negative thought. It leads you to three more. And then you start examining your life in deeper detail through a depressing lens. When you get into a vicious cycles like this it can eat up hours, weeks and years of your life. It can drain a lot of your energy whilst trapping you in paralysis by analysis. And you probably wont´t become that much wiser in the process. First impressions

First impressions are important.

Everyone stereotypes everyone on first impression, even if we are reluctant to do it. We all get a first impression of a new person that creates a mental image of his or her personality in our minds. That image of you often lasts and can affect the relationship that follows.

Another thing is that we often play different roles in relationships. With our parents we play one role, with friends another, with someone we are interested in/in love with a third, when shopping for clothes in a store a fourth. And so on.

A good or great first impression can create a positive role in the minds of the new people we meet. When we meet them again, we are often drawn back into this role. Sometimes it happens almost unconsciously until you after a few minutes notice that you have fallen into your old role - like when you meet friends you haven't seen in years - in that dynamic once again. You may not always be drawn into that role. But if you do it sure is better to have a positive than a negative role saved for you.

Here are some of the things I've learned about improving first impressions. Of course, different environments like business meetings with suits and ties or parties with colourful drinks come with different goals and expectations. So figure out what's appropriate and useful in each meeting.

1. Don't think too much.

First, perhaps the most important tip: don't think too much. This will help you let the conversation flow easily and you won't become self conscious and nervous. Try, as much as possible, to stay focused on the people you are talking to rather than focusing on yourself.

2. Act as if you are meeting a good friend.

If you just imagine that the person you will met/have just met and are talking to is one of your best friends you'll probably adjust unconsciously and start to smile, open up your body language to a very friendly and warm position and reduce any nervousness or weirdness in your tone of voice and body language. This technique is also a great help to stop over-thinking and it puts you in the present moment again. Don't overdo it though, you might not want to hug and kiss right away.

The nice thing about this is that you may also start to feel positive feelings towards this new person, just as you do with your friend when you meet him/her. This is a pretty good starting point for getting them to reciprocate and for developing a good relationship.

3. Stand and sit up straight.

Keeping a good but relaxed posture certainly improves on the impression one makes. Don't slouch. Sit or stand up straight.

4. Be positive.

Sometimes you can go in all positive in a first meeting. Sometimes it may not be the best approach to go in too positive as it can be seen as bit abrasive or feel like a bit too much for the other person. A better way to convey a positive attitude in a first meeting can then be to read the mood of person(s) before you start talking - by just watching them - and then match it for a short while. Then - when you have an emotional connection - you can let your positivity arise a bit more.

Regardless if you start out positive from the get-go or a short while into the meeting, be sure to positive. If you, for instance, start a first meeting by complaining, there's a big chance the people you meet will mentally label you as a complainer or a negative person.

5. Mentally rehearse before you even enter the room.

Visualize how great the events will unfold - see and hear it - and also how great will you feel at this meeting.

See yourself smiling, being positive, open and having a great time. See the excellent outcome in your mind. Then release by visualizing that it has already happened, that the meeting is over with the desired result. This is surprisingly effective and will get you into a great and relaxed mood before even stepping into the first, second or twentieth meeting.

You may want to not think much at all (tip #1) or act as if you are meeting a good friend (tip #2) or use a positive mental rehearsal before a meeting. Try them all and see which one - or combination - that works best for you.

6. The words you use to start the conversation with aren't always that important.

As long as you use some of the tips above it will usually not really matter too much what word or phrase you use to start the conversation. The words are only 7 percent of your communication. 93 percent is in your tone of voice and your body language. Sure, those numbers - that comes from a study that psychologist Albert Mehrabian did - may not always be completely accurate in a conversation.

But the point is; don't over-think things. A simple "Hi!" backed up by a relaxed and confident smile may do just fine.

Easter Day: "Mengejar HadirMu" 2010

Once again this year our church organized Easter Day which was held on Sunday 4th April 2010 at 2:30 pm with a theme "Mengejar Hadir Mu". This time, it showed a concept of testimony and singing with Unplugged music.

With preparations for a month, with a variety of obstacles faced, all participants have performed satisfactorily and bless. The event began with a dance performance from the great dancers like Florentina, Angela, Debbie and Esther. Then followed by a presentation of the Sunday School and short message from our Pastor Joe Marcose.

Ivy is the Emcee on that day who has the best and entertaining. Opening Praise and Worship led by Veronica and Jimpele with 3 songs. First presentation from Fresella and Abigail presented a monologue drama about "Pekerjaan" and followed by a song "Kau Bagian Terindah Bagiku" which is sang by them too. Onwards, presentation of Noni and Jimpele with the theme of "Keluarga" show a great testimony and a combination of great vocals. After that, Roland and Salifiah were present the best singing of their song "Tiada Seperti Mu" and "My Heart Your Home". They convey the theme of "Fikiran & Hati". Presentation of Jessyta and Tatum who brought the theme of " Perbuatan & Perkataan". Dancing of Tatum and Ivy amazed the audience, and followed up with a strong voice from Jessyta who sang "I Will Never Be The Same again." Nice and steady.

For the closing program, all singers led the audience sing along with song of Easter Day theme "Mengejar Hadir Mu" and followed by "Ku Kan Menari" and "Hitam dan Putih". Great, awesome and all-out. At the end before the closing prayer, lucky draw tickets held for all who were present that day. Thank You God for the intervention and thy goodness for all this ... See you guys next year...

Stop Spending Leaks

This lesson you will concentrate on finding spending leaks in your budget and look at what you can do about them.

What’s the Problem?
Reasons some people can’t seem to get ahead are:

Impatience—You want the product now.
Impulse buying—You see something at a store or on a shopping channel and buy even if you had not planned for the purchase.
Using too much credit. Interest costs are high.
Lack of self-discipline in saving money so it can work for you by earning interest.

What are your spending habits? Are any of these reasons keeping you from getting ahead? If so, you will want to work toward breaking those habits.How do you practice self-control? Is shopping your hobby? You’ve probably heard the saying “born to shop”—Is that you? Do you think you are a compulsive shopper? Do you get a “rush” from shopping and afterward, feel depressed? If this is the case, you may need some professional help. Or, you should try to find a substitute for the shopping. Try an active sport, an exercise class, or maybe volunteer at a nursing home or local hospital. Find something else besides shopping to make you feel good.

Spending habits can be changed if you:

Identify the spending leaks that give you immediate pleasure or satisfaction, but don’t help you reach any of your financial goals.
Substitute desirable spending behaviors that will help you reach your financial goals.

Ten Spending Leak Plugs
1. Learn to recognize the “triggers” that put you in a spending situation. (You may see some examples in your Spending Log/Dollar Tracker.) Maybe you enjoy shopping at yard sales or flea markets. Perhaps, when you go to buy milk, other items in the store catch your eye. Do you eat out every Friday night? Does a coffee break mean you will buy an expensive coffee treat?

2. Learn to recognize the “triggers” in your surroundings that tempt you to buy. In stores, merchandise is often placed throughout the store in locations to attract your attention. Temptations can also be people, places, things, or even the mood you are in. Do you find yourself spending more money when you go shopping with a certain friend? Do you spend money when you are feeling “blue”? Learn to control the environment so
you can shop wisely. Here are other suggestions that might help:

Avoid exposing yourself to things that will tempt you to spend. Stay away from the stores except when you have something you absolutely need to buy. Avoid “just looking.” Browsing can lead to buying. Make a list and stick to it.

Plan your shopping. Go with a purpose in mind. Use that list! Extras you don’t really need can add to the total at the cash register.

Limit your number of trips to the store or the mall. Don’t shop in a weakened condition. Shopping when you are hungry, tired, or depressed can lead to overspending.

3. Before spending money, think through the decision-making process:

What are your financial goals and priorities? Will this help you reach important goals?

Consider the alternatives. Ask yourself:

— Can I do without?
— Can I continue to use what I already have?
— Can I make it for less money than buying it?
— Can I borrow someone else’s?
— Can I substitute something less expensive?
— Can I rent a few days instead of buying? (Example: carpet cleaner)
— Is this a need or a want?
— Should I buy?

If you decide to buy, do some comparison shopping. Comparison shopping is important when making major purchases. Even small savings can add up on repeated purchases of relatively inexpensive items such as shampoo and paper supplies. Gather reliable and accurate information.

Make your decision and take action. Then evaluate your decision. (Not all the choices will prove to be what you expect. Even if you later find that a purchase was a poor choice, the experience is a guiding lesson for the next time. You are gaining skills as a consumer.)

4. Be patient. Learn to say “NO” to:

Items that don’t rank high on your spending priority list.
Items that are too expensive for your budget. (Know your limits.)
The salesclerk who says it looks wonderful, when you know it really doesn’t.
Friends or relatives selling things. Don’t buy just because you feel obligated.

5. Use feedback. Review your spending record for patterns of behavior.

6. Establish spending guides for you and your family to follow. Use your expense records to plan your spending. Set spending limits. Don’t spend more than you plan.

7. Use the “incentive plan” to help you and your family follow the budget you have made. Perhaps you can reward yourself for following the shopping rules. If you have brown-bagged lunch four days at work, treat yourself to lunch out on Friday. Or if the family has been sticking to the budget and not spending money on unneeded items, a treat such as a night out or a trip to the zoo might just be the incentive to keep up the good habit. Just remember—don’t ruin the budget by overspending on the special treat.

8. Keep credit purchases to a minimum. Think about what credit will cost and how else you might use that money. Remember, interest charges add to the cost of anything purchased with credit.

9. Buy from reliable dealers and make choices that best meet your needs. Keep all purchase records. If a problem occurs, be sure to register a complaint. Act promptly in case a warranty time limit is involved.

10. Try to reduce waste to help save money. Excessive use (water, lights, automobile), abuse, or lack of care that leads to expensive repairs or shortens the service life of a product, or throwing away useful items are all examples of wasted money.

Changing a Habit
Be patient. Psychological research indicates it takes three to four weeks to break an old habit and form a new one. So don’t expect miracles to happen overnight. We have also learned through weight control research on behavior modification that it is difficult to change all old habits at once. Just target one habit you want to change and work on it until you succeed. Then move on to the next one. Be sure to set realistic goals and realistic deadlines. Do not go on indefinitely—that’s just procrastination. Develop a plan that will give you measurable results. For example, you can measure how much you have saved by not smoking a pack of cigarettes a day.

Action Steps
Put your plan into action. Start today with your new plan. Launch your new plan with as strong a push as possible. Make an open commitment so others in your family know you are serious about reaching this goal. Arrange your environment to encourage your new habit. Practice it daily. Do something every day to reach your goal. Don’t allow an exception to occur until the new behavior is part of your daily life and above all—don’t get discouraged. Good money management habits are a means to getting the most for your money. Look at your habits today. Stop spending leaks.

9th, 11th and 13th Chords

Once you move beyond 7ths and start adding notes from higher up the scale (e.g. 9ths, 11ths, 13ths) there is one very important thing to remember.

All of these chords must have a 7th in them.
Just as there are 3 types of 7th chord (7th, min 7th, maj 7th), you end up with 3 types for 9th, 11th and 13th chords by simply adding to the basic 7th chord.

To get a 9th chord, add the 9th to the (flat) 7th chord
To get a min 9th, add the 9th to the min 7th chord
To get a maj 9th, add the 9th to the maj 7th chord

To get 11th chords you can add the 11th to the 3 types of 9th chord, but most of the time the 9th is not needed, so you simply add an 11th to the 7th chords to build the 3 types of 11th chord, and similarly with 13ths.

If you have a voicing of a 13th chord that also has a 9th or 11th in it, then that's fine: it's still a 13th chord, but most of the time these chords are just a normal 7th with an added note (9th, 11th or 13th)

9th, 11th, and 13th Chords

The spelling for chords like C9, C11, C13 (i.e. chords built on C7 - so they have a flat 7th in them) is:

9th: 1st, maj 3rd, 5th, flat 7th, 9th
11th: 1st, maj 3rd, 5th, flat 7th, 11th
13th: 1st, maj 3rd, 5th, flat 7th, 13th

It's worth noting here that the 5th can be omitted from the chord. The essential notes for C9, C11 and C13 are the 1st, 3rd, 7th and 9th/11th/13th

6th Chords

To make a 6th chord, start with the triad and add the 6th. But note that the major 6th is added to make both major and minor 6th chords - the 'minor' or 'major' bit comes from the triads.

So - for a C6 chord:

Start with a C major triad (CEG) and add the major 6th (A).
C6 = C E G A

For a Cm6, start with a C minor triad (CEbG) and add the major 6th (A).
Cm6 = C Eb G A

6/9 chords

These are similar to 6th chords, but they have a 9th added, as you may have guessed! I've always seen this as major chords, but I guess there's no reason why you couldn't have something like Dm6/9.

Anyway they are built up by taking the basic triad, and adding the 6th and the 9th.

So C6/9 would be: 1st, maj 3rd, 5th, 6th, 9th

i.e. the notes are: C E G A D
(The 5th can sometimes be left out)

A nice shape for this C6/9 would be:

Diminished Chords

The diminished chords are either written as 'dim' or sometimes using a small circle like the symbol for degrees (°).

A diminished chord is made up of these notes:

1st, min 3rd, flat 5th, double flat 7th.

(Double flat 7th is the same note as the major 6th, but it's usually written as double flat 7th - don't ask me why!)

So A diminished would be: A, C, Eb, Gb

As a point of interest, the intervals between successive notes in a diminished chord are all minor thirds.

This means if you start to build a dim chord on a C, you end up with the same notes as for the A dim.

In other words Adim = Cdim = Ebdim = Gbdim = A+C+Eb+Gb

So when you play a diminished chord, if you move it up the neck by 3 frets you still have the same chord!!

There is also a chord called the half-diminished, or diminished 7th. I usually write this one as somthing like E7-5 - just another name for the same chord. It's best if you're aware of the different names used for the same chord.

The difference between this one and a 'normal' diminished is that the 7th of the chord is a flat 7th, not a double flat 7th (hence half-diminished).

So the spelling is 1st, min 3rd, flat 5th, flat 7th.

Augmented Chords

An augmented chord is made up of these notes:

1st, maj 3rd, sharp 5th

So A augmented would be : A C# F

(Intervals between successive notes are all maj 3rds - i.e. 4 semitones.)

You can see augmented chords written as something like 'A aug' or 'A+'.

'Add' Chords and Chromatic Chords

Here are the triads and chords:

Major, minor, sus2 and sus4 triads and chords.
Major 7th, flat 7th and minor 7th chords.
9th, min 9th, maj 9th, 11th, min 11th, maj 11th, 13th, min 13th, maj 13th chords.

All other chords fall into the series of chords with 'added' notes or chords with altered notes.

Added chords

Chords with 'added' notes are just what they sound like. They are usually written as something like Cadd2, Cadd4 etc.

Simply start with the 'base' chord (C in this example) and add the appropriate note. You can of course add to any 'base' chord whether it's major or minor or whatever.
Be sure you understand the difference between add2 and sus2 chords, and add4 and sus4 chords - the sus chords have the 3rd replaced with another note. The 'add' chords simply add to the triad, so Cadd2 would be:

Cadd2 = C triad + 2nd = 1st, 2nd, maj 3rd, 5th

Csus2 = Csus2 triad = 1st, 2nd, 5th

Similarly there is an important difference between 'add9' and '9' chords. A C9 chord must have the flat 7th in it (see above), but the Cadd9 chord will not - it's just a C major triad with a 9th added.
You can carry on adding as many notes as you want. If you play around with alternative tunings you could quite easily come across chords like Aadd2add4, but most of the time you'll just have one added note.

You can of course add a note to a chord that isn't a simple major or minor chord - you can have things like Csus4add9 etc.

Altered chords

These are chords with chromatic alterations. The 5th, 2nd, 4th, 9th etc can all be chromatically altered - i.e. moved up or down by a semitone (half step).

Examples of this are chords like E7#9 and E7b9. The 9th of a normal E9 chord has been sharpened in the E7#9, and flattened in the E7b9.

So what are the notes for these?
Well, starting with the 'E7' bit:

E7 = 1st, maj 3rd, 5th, flat 7th = E, G#, B, D

Now add the #9 (count up 15 semitones from E) - G.

So E7#9 = E G# B D G.

Similarly E7b9 = E G# B D F.

There are a few different ways to write these chords.

'-' and '+' signs are sometimes used to mean 'flat' and 'sharp' respectively, but 'b' and '#' are used as well.

You might even see 'dim' and 'aug' (diminished and augmented) used too for the same thing.

So E7#9 could be written as E7+9 or E7aug9, and E7b9 could be written as E7-9 or E7dim9.

With these chromatically altered chords there is almost no limit on the number of chords you can create - most of these will be used in jazz, but some (like the E7#9) appear quite a lot in rock music too.

To work out the notes to these types of chord it's best to start with the 'basic' chord, then add the chromatic notes to this. So, as above for E7#9, start with E7, then add the #9.

You may find several chromatic notes in one chord - like A13b5b9 - treat it just the same way - build up the A13 chord, then swap the 5th and 9th for the flat 5th and flat 9th.

You know what? This is something that I am extremely fun. But I sure love them like my own siblings. I introduce to you ... Pamela Munga Balang, Cleopatra Nanang, Ivy M. Karangkas and Tatum Marion Neil Sagidon. They merely Cute right? : þ hehehe .... However, they are my favorite crazy girls in Grace (no controversy please hahahaha…), not because of their beauty [kunun!] or 'height' [hahahah!] but of course in their determination to serve God and a deep longing to be together. Hmmmmm ... What attracts me is their ability to act in any performances, dancing, singing, commitments and bla! bla! bla!, and yup they are nice girls too even slightly naughty lol!... :)

Yes... they were studying at the same University and same course, and they will become an English teacher in the future, ya! by rite. Actually I have no idea to talk about them... hehehe inda bah!. I hope they will continue to be successful in their future careers.

I began to recognize them during preparations drama on Easter Day this year ... from there we began to familiar with each other, the madness thingy and sharing life experiences hehehe ... I don’t want to explain more detail about them, if you want to know more ... ask them :D.

Youhnited Stars were In Kuching!

Just came back from Kuching, Sarawak. Although I do not get plenty of sleep for 3 days (7th - 9th), but did not feel tired entirely but slightly bellow. Perhaps because there is blessed and happy to serve several churches there with the fire of the Holy Spirit, Praise and Worship, apart from planning to open Kuching Praise Comunity Center in the future. So, our total of 21 people - Pastor Perry, Bro. Henry J., Sis. Anne, Bro. Nelson, Sis. Fressela, Sis. Lisa, Sis. Suzila, Bro. Dennis, Sis. Ellyfehny, Sis. Pamela, Sis. Tatum, Sis. Abigail, Bro. Mark, Bro. Rayxe, Sis. Ivy MK, Bro. Roy, Sis. Jacq, Bro. Afon, Bro. Joshua, Sis. Florentina and me ...

I can say this is a fairly large group to do missions outside of KL across south china sea :). Although there among the participants of the mission are currently undergoing the university's final examination, but their determination to participate in this mission fiery, crazy! Attention! Attention! Who are these people? hahahaha....Yeah! Rite! I departed to Kuching from KLIA at 2.00pm on the 7th, While others have arrived there since 12:00 pm. What a quiet travel! Kesian! hehehe...

Precisely at 4 pm the plane landed at Kuching International Airport. Who probably will be picking me up? After Bro. Henry calms me, Eric is on the way for fetching me up... nasib baik...hehehe... actually they just finished on prayer walk in that city. :( I missed it! Yes, Eric finally arrived, along with Sis. Abot, Bro. Mark and Sis. Flo. After that, we went to accommodation provided by the Eric's team. Thank you bro! Susah-susah je ... hehehe ...

we will not forget your hospitality!... Your "kipas" yang menyejukkan kami hehehehe....We live in terrace house which is empty ... Nah! "NEW YOU KNOW!" hahaha ... actually it is more than enough for us to stay there, so grateful ... all men in the living room and girls in the room ... rules! Only allowed to use a shower room in 5 minutes! hehehe...

At Night around 8pm, (7th) we gathered at Bro. Eric's house along with some new friends. That night we enjoy the food and drink provided by Eric's, fellowship, message from Pastor Perry and proposal from Bro. Henry. We are laughing and joyful, because kenyang bah! hehehe...

After that we return to our Hot Tel, some ironing clothes, listening music, chat, shower and so on... as usual tidur lambat! ... right at 5 am (8th - Sunday), almost all of us woke up with a noisy alarm! But there are still snoring...who else...lol! After all ready, precisely at 6.30 am, we took time to pray and worship God intervened in our program throughout the day. We're really excited!

SIB Bau

Travel there for almost an hour. Along the way, we enjoy the greenery and natural flora, fresh air (we only imagine we in the van, inhalational the van's air aircond) :p. Initially we reached a junction in the left, thought we had arrived at the SIB Bau. No! We entered the wrong junction. Well, we continue the journey. Dennis still survive hehehe ... Nah! Finally we arrived at the SIB Bau! Pastor Charles is awaiting us. At first we just thought, hmmm ... This may be a common pastor.. but we're actually wrong. He was a funny and kind-hearted person ... amazing ... hahaha... Throughout the service there ... Fuh! how God works with exceptional ... Sis. Fressela led the congregation truly extraordinary ... dangdut! yo! As the service does not end. Sermon from Ps. Perry regarding changes to the main topic. However, Ps. Perry has a hidden talent for dancing dangdut! Yeah! Who would think ... hehehe ...So, after the service, we take photos together... having food and drinks...

One thing that touched our hearts is when Pastor Charles invites us to pray to the congregation there. We believe there a breakthrough will happen. This is hoped by pastor Charles changes will happen in this church in the near future.

You know what? It is 1 pm already, we must hurry back to town... but before that we must find Kolo Mee first ... compulsory! hehehe... ya at Siang Siang Corner... me with Kolo Mee+3 layers tea! Puas! Ohk! Owh!!... 2pm already... time off to SIB Praise Valley!

SIB Praise Valley

We supposed to be there around 2.30pm but, as Mr. Dennis has been diverted to other places, we lost a glance. That's Dennis! Finally arrived. Some young people are waiting for us and without wasting time we prepare for the event which will be conducted at 3 pm. Approximately 3 pm, Bro. Chiwi of Praise Valley's give words to welcome us and then taken over by Sis. Tatum, Sis. Ivy and Sis. Pamela led in praise and worship. Oops! The first song, I'm not sure what happened during the solo, my guitar's sound suddenly disappeared, I almost depressed and panic. But praise God, I'm playing with great Band-mates (Nelson, Joshua and Rayxe)... can close the "situation". How very important when using the method of "Jurus Tangga Nada (Jeffry Hermanto, 2009) hahahaha... After that run well, but on the song 'King of Majesty' sung... Fuh! Everyone jumped and gratefully not banging their heads on the ceiling. God really great!

After that, taken over by Ps. Perry with a robust, but as usual ... it is followed with the song "Black and White" or with soft language Hitam dan Putih and you knew what genre is. So, what happens after that? Right! Dangdut in da house! Ps. Perry invites young people come and pray for them and awesome, God worked with extraordinary ... such as not enough to praise God, the song titled "Aku Jatuh Cinta" filling the space with the pace of Sumazau. I can not imagine the situation at that time. Yes, great, everyone can dance Sumazau to God. As usual, after that, we enjoy the food and drinks provided by them. Laughter, fellowship, meet one another, meet old friends and take the photos together. Watch shows at 6 pm! we should soon be ready for the program at the church St. James, Quop starts at 7.30pm... rush! rush! rush!...

St. James, Quop

Yes, it does not have time to shower! We arrived there at about 7.50pm ... what a great place! Open Air! Stage with a fairly comfortable ... great! When all are ready, program began with opening of praise and worship from the host (mostly are youngsters), Wow! Great and energetic! Young people are enthusiastic in serving the Lord! After they sang 4 songs, the stage taken over by Youhtnited Stars! Yuuuhhhhuuu! The first performance is a Pantomime . Sooooo... cool guys!... macam biasa touching wei... Ivy did a good expressions there and Mark... and yes others too great! great! and great!. Nelson is Worship Leader at night that invites all people to jump and praise God with the spirit! Yes! We jumped higher and higher! We feel how our thirst for God touched that place ... What a great nite ever!... although Joshua (bassist) whispers to me "I want fast song! I want fast song!", he remains enthusiastic ... tired like mad!

Concert that night over. We have the opportunity to enter the church and we find out that the St. James church is among the oldest church in Kuching. Antiques and still in good condition! We are very impressed and have the opportunity to take pictures together, as usual, Florentino Rossi, busy with the Nikon D70s camera that almost 1 kilogram weight! Yeah rite! Jacquelin's style that errr .... hehehe ...

O.K., so, we are hungry! We got into the Van (Innova) and with full confidence to continue the journey .... Place to eat! So some, like that ... as usual, Dennis over to other places again .... we are turning back ... Yes ... only a few meters from the church, a very kind family willing to provide food and drinks for us ... and wahhhh .... a lots!!!! Blessed! Eating and drinking, oh ya! Pastor Charles was there ... hehehe ... however, Joshua has been breaking ice on it! Fun! He started with 'cool' tactics to punk'd Roy! pity Roy! Sorry Hahahaha ... It is about "Test-Your-Honesty-Being-Ignored-Later"...hahahahaha... I can't tell how it goes...So, to those who do not go to Kuching, this is our secret yeah!!!!..... BUT unfortunately, we are not simply satisfied to charge Roy but eventually Paramela Munangga Letchumi Balachandran also being 'punk'd' by Pastor Charles...hahahaha.... yeahhh!!!!...SO SWEET!!!!! hahahahaah...wait!! Bahahahahaha...

O.K. enough! We return to our Hot Tel, take all our things and stayed at Bro. Eric's Home. All mad over tired, but it's fun! So, our ministry ended here in Kuching ... tomorrow (9th) in the early morning, some friends who will return to Kuala Lumpur ...

In conclusion, God will use every Youthnited Stars for the glory of God to be a model to bring about change and impact on ministry and commence new service in Kuching ... and soon .. Miri and Kota Kinabalu ...

Digital Pre-Press

OK. Today's topic is related to the work experience [previously I've been in this field] :)... I worked as Digital Pre-Press Operator for five years at two different company in CTP Department or Computer-To-Plate. Other than skills in computer, it also requires expertise in the field of designing and graphics printing operations. In addition, must have experience in how a substance's books or magazines made. Basically, it starts at the design and Desktop Publishing stage then sent to the Digital Pre-Press stage prior to the printing process.

Here, I will list briefly the process of making a book or magazine:

1. Each material before it became a book or magazine, it must first undergo the process at Desktop Publishing (DTP). At this stage, graphic designers will ensure that the concept has a unique attractiveness, orderly and neat. Graphic Designer will also determine the position of typography and images included. Images must be 150 dpi (Dot Per-Inch) above and CMYK formats. Examples of DTP software are Adobe In-Design, Pagemaker, Quark Express and many more.

2. Based on experience in this field, Digital Pre-Press department choose to receive a file in the *.pdf format. It's easy and simplify the process of Refining. However, this process will run well when preparing the *.pdf proper and correctly. An example software of the refining processor is Prinergy by Creo.

*.pdf - Portable Document Format. Developed by Adobe Systems, this format allows document that are created in any program to be converted to PDF format which can then be "read" by the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software, regardless of whether the originating software used to originally create the document is available on the viewers computer. PDF files can be created from most programs by using the Adobe Acrobat software.

3. Refining is a process where the *.pdf files examined by several criteria that have been determined or called Pre-Flight (The process of checking DTP files before output by the output provider, in order to check if the files will run successfully on the imagesetter. In pre-flight, the files are not actually output on an imagesetter. Files may be opened and examined and/or run through a checking or imagesetter-emulation program). For example, the system will detect if there any images less than 150 dpi or fonts are not embedded. So, if any, further actions will be taken either get new files or repair the existing, depending on the discretion and evaluation.

4. Before proceed to layout process, Digital Pre-press Operator will check each file, page by page accordingly. Yes, make sure all bleeds are enough at least 3mm away from the trim size, this facilitates the process of cutting stage. Further, identify the any missing images, fonts not embedded, size of book / magazine as requested, make sure files are complete and more...

5. The next step is the layout or impositioning. I can say that this stage is quite difficult. It requires focus and it depends strongly on the Job Plan that has been provided. There are some companies call it Job Plan, Job Sheet, Work Sheet, and more. Depending on the comfort and work culture. So here are two important things that should be emphasized. First, related to Impositioning and the second is Job Plan.

6. In the process of Impositioning, it is dependent on the Job Plan. Position of every page based on paper print size width, height and how it folds. Normally the number of pieces in a single surface is 8 pages. Once again, it depends on the size of paper, printing and folding machines. If the book will be completed in the form of, for example Saddle Stitch (Stapled), then the way it folds and position page also different.

Impositioning Software - Signastation

Set the position of each page.

8. The completed Imposition also known as Signature. Now, after the position is determined, place each PDF file that has been processed into the Signature. Place the PDF by following the trim marks accordingly or just place it in the middle.

9. After Impositioning made, prior to the preparation of plates, each first impositions just need to print out Ozalid. Ozalid act as a print view, similar to the actual printing. It is also a pre-view to see the entire book / magazine to be produced. Here, the editor or designer will check every spelling, colors, layout, design and type of binding is correct, and also some other criteria.

10. After Ozalids have been confirmed by the editor or publisher, thus the impositions will be published in the form of plates. Plates or Printing Plates is printing processes such as offset lithography use printing plates to transfer an image to paper or other substrates. The plates may be made of metal, plastic, rubber, paper, and other materials. The image is put on the printing plates using photomechanical, photochemical, or laser engraving processes. The image may be positive or negative.

11. So, in the Plate Division, the operator will produce plates based on color. If the book / magazine is in CMYK, then plate is produced by 4 pieces for each side of imposition. Means, one color one plate. If there any additional color other than CMYK, then it is known as a special color or colors that have been selected in accordance with the design, for example Gold color, Silver color, Pantone colors and more.

After all plates are ready, it will be sent to the Press Department for printing!

About like that lar! What else you want to? Hehehe ...!

Much remains to be shared ... just enough so far ... later you dizzy! This is just only 50% of the overall process in the CTP! These are too basic I guess :)

This morning... I was in the Lift to office... thinking... "What I am doing here? I supposed to be @ somewhere else that belong to...?" Ya... what ever happened or will happen, everything... only God knows why... Today, I recalled something, it's about be a good friend and a brother... and trying to be a perfect husband lol!... Anyway errmm.... I surrounded by bunch of friends, nice friends, pretty, handsome, cute, kind, funny, crazy, pura² hensem, kunun² lawa hahaha... and blessing me all the time. Fuh!... I learned something about the reality of life... besides faith it's about HEART....wahh... jiwang eh! No lah... How people need each other...err... to share their feelings and "Love Burdens"...Fuh! apa tu!... Why lar bro n sis... susah ya... about feeling² ni... I dah lepas la...hehehe... but this is my turn to help them... I have my own experience and a very² damn experience hahaha... tu dulu!... please! Avoid it hahaha.... gila ketawa sorang²...

Yup! RELATIONSHIP!... Thank God... I wanna be someone to please "them" wise in terms of decision-making. Give them encouragements and supports... yalorr! What a friend for? To help, be a good listener and at least give them any alternatives. The same time my wife is helping someone out there too :). I always give support to her, give the very best advices and encouragements.. YA!... until 2am tu tolong kawan!...tidur la saya sorang² peluk obee...hehehe...

One thing... What ever it is... if you have to release or detain your LOVED ONES...remember GOD will provide a greater way and blow your mind... I have no idea in measuring people faith...BUT bring your head out from the window... see the wide view... I mean do not limit your life with your OWN FRAME...

I love my friends... sometimes I have to re-tune my brain on-track with their character... ya this friend different conversation, this one another style of conversation... bukanlah berlakon but... takkanlah contohnya seorang kawan minat music tiba² cakap pasal cara-cara buat spaghetti pulakan?...hehehe...

So tired larr.. this October too many birthdays... bagus juga ramai² ni project Pai-Ling makin banyak hehehe...

Another thing... be a good caring person...care about people feeling... listen their problem... pray for them... After A Long Break...

Hi all...

Fuh...what a long² break...no new post. Actually, I am a person who lack of ideas to share something or shout out, but...i am starting now lol... first, thank God being a GOOD FRIEND and always be there for me whenever I need to speak to someone, You a loyal One. Awal tahun 2009 dimulai dengan pintu 'baru' iaitu dengan one whole night prayer dan saya masih ingat semangat dan api itu terus membakar menjalar di setiap teman-teman sepelayanan. 2008 adalah satu keperitan dan sukacita yang tersendiri. Terlalu banyak yang mungkin saya ingin kongsikan (next post!:) ). Ya, tahun ni selepas doa semalaman itu, Tuhan menegur supaya ada 'Fellowship dan Unity'...Tuhan bukan hanya menegur kepada seseorang namun pada malam itu Tuhan juga menegur beberapa orang yang hadir pada malam tersebut (confirmation from God!). Saya melihat ini satu langkah permulaan untuk mengembalikan suasana FnU ini. Thx God...sometimes saya terdiam juga...shared dengan isteri saya bagaimana Tuhan menolong/menyediakan segala persiapan pada Hari Easter...julung² kali diakan Unplugged Musical Drama (12th April) DAN!!! I'm so grateful dengan kehadiran kawan² yang bersama-sama menjayakan acara itu, sooo good and talented!. Bukan kita mahu melihat acara ini berjalan hebat atau perfect tapi melihat pada HASILnya iaitu bagaimana fellowship itu dikuatkan, dieratkan dan yang penting ada kepercayaan. Saya tidak pernah mengenal mereka... . Ada suatu ketika menemui jalan buntu dan halangan...perggh! Tuhan itu baik..sangat baik.... I hope we'll gather again, saling didorong dan dikuatkan... cheers!!!
